Since Betmar Lavilla itself is not home to many shopping, dining or entertainment options, most residents do not find the area very walkable. Pryor Road is the only road in the neighborhood equipped with a bike lane, so biking commuters are also not common. Betmar Lavilla properties are zoned for the Atlanta Public Schools district. Children in the area attend Slater Elementary School, Price Middle School and Carver High School. These public schools have low rankings and parents may opt to enroll children in local private schools, such as The Ron Clark Academy Private School or Romar Academy.
The Atlanta Fire Department Training Center is also located in Betmar Lavilla.
