Most residents in the suburbs of Peoplestown use their own vehicles, taxi cabs or ride-sharing programs to travel to other areas of the community or to commute to work in the city, as the placement of the neighborhood is not walking friendly.

Homes in Peoplestown are desirable because the area also includes parks and greenspace for residents to enjoy. D.H. Stanton Park on Boynton Avenue and Martin Street is accessible from the newly constructed Beltline, a walking and biking trail that connects to downtown Atlanta. Due to the recent Beltline construction and connection, the city also renovated the park. It now includes updated restrooms, a children’s playground, a splash park and sports fields. Four Corners Park is located in West Peoplestown and includes basketball courts and other fields for sports and activities for the entire family.

Peoplestown residents may need to travel into the downtown area for extensive shopping for home goods or clothing. However, the area is home to several grocery stores. These shops range from small corner stores to large supermarkets and include:

Peoplestown is considered the suburbs and most residents looking for late-night fun travel into the downtown area to visit clubs and bars. However, Peoplestown is home to Eventide Brewing, near Grant Park. This brewery offers craft beer selections and can be rented for private events.
