  • Busy Bee Café – This unique eatery has been around since just after World War II when the original proprietor, Lucy Jackson, perfected her recipe for Southern Fried Chicken. Her recipes survive to this day as the Busy Bee continues to delight patrons with this hallmark dish of the South.
  • Mr. Everything Café – Another long-time Atlanta staple, Mr. Everything has been serving celebrities, athletes, and regular Atlanta residents since 1993. You can find a long list of subs, sandwiches, desserts, salads, rice dishes, burgers, dogs and grilled meats sure to satisfy your taste buds.
  • Jamal’s Buffalo Wings – This is a local favorite and a hot spot for those who own homes in the area.   • Georgia Aquarium – The Georgia Aquarium was the largest marine aquarium in the world until 2012, but it is still the largest aquarium within the United States. It houses thousands of species that total over 100,000 creatures big and small. Some of the most exotic include:

The public schools in Vine City are mostly ranked as D schools. However, the area boasts charter schools for both elementary and middle school aged children that rank highly amongst the city’s schools. As far as walkability is concerned, your child may be able to walk to school, but most residents will need to take public transportation or have their own vehicles.
